About

Built by people who have spent years in the pain clinic.

Karuna Labs makes technology for people living with chronic pain, working alongside the clinicians who treat them.

Chronic pain is not a sensor reading. Modern pain science describes it as something the brain constructs, a protective prediction that can keep firing long after tissue has healed. That idea changes what help should look like. Instead of chasing a number on a scale, recovery becomes about retraining the system: moving with confidence, pacing, understanding, and feeling safe.

Karuna Labs has spent years turning that science into programs delivered with clinicians, including immersive rehabilitation used in pain practices. Along the way we learned two things. People do best when someone checks in every day, not every few weeks. And the hardest hours are rarely during an appointment.

Why Cindra

Cindra is our answer: a daily companion that lives on your phone. It checks in gently, teaches pain neuroscience a few minutes at a time, helps you notice patterns across your week, and keeps a direct line open to your care team. It is designed to support treatment, not replace it, and it is built to know the limits of what software should do, see how we design it.
